Eva Street House

It started as a lot with a beautiful tree. An oak tree that shades the entire site, creating an outdoor room at the center of everything. This house is angular and stealthy. It sits quietly under the tree canopy, blending into the surroundings with its corten and wood siding, aging naturally. Carefully placed windows allow for connection between the private interior and natural world. The protective site arrangement keeps the bustle of Congress Avenue, only a block away, at arm’s length. This project was a collaboration with Chris Cobb, AIA.
